British School Jakarta

Bintaro Jaya Sektor 9, Jl. Raya Jombang-Ciledug, Pondok Aren, Tangerang 15427, Jakarta, Indonesia

The British School Jakarta (BSJ) was founded in 1974 with support from the British Embassy to provide an education for internationally mobile students in the city.

In 1995, it moved to Bintaro, a 44-acre site that has been constructed to provide a world-class education in terms of bespoke teaching and learning in the classroom and facilities that include a 750-seater theatre, sports, musical and language centres.

We are an HMC overseas school, Apple Distinguished, a member of FOBISIA, and accredited by CIS/WASC. We also work closely with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and its Compassionate Systems well-being program.

Our curriculum is driven by inquiry and knowledge. Our Primary curriculum has IPC and components of the English National Curriculum, moving into the IB MYP, I/GCSE & IB CP & DP. This journey enables our students to attain exceptional academic results and entry into the best universities in the world including UCLA, Berkeley and Cornell University in the USA, Oxford University and Imperial College London in the UK, and Nanyang Technology University and University of Melbourne in Asia Pacific.
