Bandung Independent School (BIS) opened its doors in 1972 as a non-profit institution governed by a dedicated group of parent volunteers. Now in its 54th year, BIS continues to serve both expatriate and local families, educating approximately 230 students representing over 20 nationalities on a beautiful 1.2-hectare campus just north of Bandung’s city centre.
BIS is proud to be the only IB Continuum School in Bandung, offering all three International Baccalaureate Programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the Diploma Programme (DP). With a holistic approach to learning and development, BIS provides a balanced and rigorous curriculum that nurtures students academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and ethically. The school empowers students to make the world a better place, in line with its vision.
Entry Requirements:
BIS welcomes all students, both Indonesian and expatriate, who wish to join an IB school that promotes inclusivity, holistic education, and the overall growth of each individual.
All students may participate in a trial day to get to know the school’s environment and learning approach. Additionally, students from Grade 2 onward will need to complete a placement test to determine the appropriate level of academic support and class placement.
