Bambino was founded in 1997 in Jakarta. We offer an innovative curriculum to inspire and challenge your child. And then, here we also offer a range of extracurricular activities.
Bambino provides education for students aged 18 months to 6 years old. As the school’s reputation and student number continue to grow, an exclusively designed building for preschool and kindergarten building was established in 2016 for Bambino’s existence.
Why is Bambino different from other schools?
1. Multicultural learning
We have different students from different nationalities. Currently, we do have around 10 to 11 nationalities of our students, namely Indonesian, Japanese, Lebanese, Indian, Australian, Korean, American, Singaporean, Netherland, Pakistani, and Malaysian. Before it was around 20 nationalities, as the pandemic happens people still adjusting to the situation.
2. Special building architecture for kindergarten and preschool
Architecture plays a role in shaping children’s education and interaction. Our building has been designed for ways to improve children’s experiences during preschool and kindergarten. We believe children are absorbing the world around them and make children socially and physically active.
3. The warm relationship between school and families
We try to make open communication between school and parents. We have weekly evaluations to explain the weekly progress of each child and explain what is happening in the classroom in order to increase the understanding of parents. We invite parents to join our WhatsApp Group forum. Parents and teachers can communicate regularly, parents also can chat and interact with other parents. We involve parents to support our school activities. Special Parents Go to the Class program has been provided to offer parents to volunteer to come to our class.
4. Innovative integrated curriculum
We believe that learning is a process and not the end product. Every child is unique. Based on that fact, we present our curriculum based on 3 different international methodologies, Montessori, Reggio Emilia and Waldorf. We set our environment to make our children independently active in his/her learning. We provide the learning centre. As part of our hands-on experience, as what Reggio Emilia offers, we transfer each child’s knowledge into a set of portfolios. Then, as they still need to grow in a social setting, we consistently expose them to inside and outside group activity. Since the government asked each international school to implement a national curriculum, we integrated the aim of the national curriculum into our program.
